As
the above discussion we know that this error occurs due to BITS service or with
COM+ Event System. To get solution from this issue you have to change the
setting of BITS or Windows Event Log Service and restart the service again.
To change the
BITS (Background Intelligence Transfer Service) you have to open the Administrative
Tools by click on the Start button then click on the control panel and in the search
box type Administrative Tools and click on it.
Open the services by double click on it and if
require give the username and password for confirmation then right click on Background
Intelligence Transfer Service and click on properties. On the general tab next
to Start up type and it is must necessary to Automatic (Delayed Start) is
selected. Then from the Next to Service status you have to check the service is
started or not then click on Start.
To change the Windows
Event Log service opens the Administrative Tools by apply the same method which
is already given in above steps and opens Services and right clicks on Windows
Event Log service then click on Properties and on the General tab you have to
make sure that Automatic is selected. If the service status is started click on
start to complete the operation. Recently when i have such types of windows
update error code 80246008 issue i have fix my pc by applying this manual
